Mixtures for high-pressure laser cutting

High-pressure laser cutting is experiencing a major change: the use of very high-power fiber lasers is growing, because they enable more economical unit costs. Associated with this trend, a change in cutting gases is becoming apparent, such as in gases used for laser cutting plain and low-alloyed steels: many such applications no longer use oxygen 3.5, but rather nitrogen with a low oxygen content, whereby the current consensus is two percent. For the laser cutting of aluminum, an oxygen content of about 20 percent in the nitrogen is a good choice. Both mixtures can be produced right there on site with the NitroPro mixers that we supply. As an alternative, we supply Nitrocut X2 and Nitrocut X20 as pre-mixed cutting gases in cylinder bundles – ideal for gaining initial experience or where low volumes of gases are needed.
