With a wide variety of industrial gases products, Messer will meet most of the gas needs of customers
Specialty gases cover a large number of products for a wide range of applications.
The Messer product line includes liquid helium, a variety of pure gases and standard mixes as well as separate gas mixtures produced to the customer's specification. Product requirements are as specific and varied as their applications. Messer offers a wide range of specialty gases, from cylinders to 300 bar cylinder pallets.
Liquid helium has a boiling point of approximately 4 Kelvin, the lowest of all gases. This makes it the coldest known liquid and therefore the optimal coolant for generating extremely low temperatures. Liquid helium is mainly used to cool superconducting magnets, for example in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy (NMR) and various research applications, including particle acceleration machine.
Many industrial and research processes require very low and defined residual gases. Whether it is a laser application or qualitative and environmental analysis, Messer will provide you with products that match the required quality and with the optimum delivery method for every application.
Rare gases and theirs mixtures are mainly used as filler gas for lamps and in laser technology, while krypton is the optimal intake gas for double glazing.
Many applications, such as operating analyzers and lasers, ripening or extinguishing a fire, require gas mixtures of always the same composition. Hence, Messer offers you a defined range of standard blends.
Messer will also gladly prepare the gas mix to suit your personal specifications. Such custom-made mixtures are mainly used as test and calibration gases for analytical purposes. They can comprise a large number of possible ingredients and range from percent to ppb. We also offer an accredited certificate option.
Messer supplies small quantities of laboratory gases, including pure and mixed gases, in pressure vessels. Our portfolio also includes proper withdrawal systems and air cleaning systems.
